View A Recipe

The View functionality in Recipes, Servings and Menus enables you to replace printouts for recipes. You can now carry the recipes with you on your mobile device and utilize the versatile options for viewing the recipe directly on the screen.

The View functionality can be used both on your pc or laptop and your mobile devices. The functionality is mobile responsive which results in slightly different appearances depending on the device you are using. Still the content displayed is always the same.

This manual tells you how to use the View function for Recipes on a mobile device.

View function for Recipes on a mobile device

Choose Food and then Recipes from the menu bar which opens up from the top corner. First choose the recipe you wish to view from the list. Then choose View from the top of the window.

The allergens

The allergens are displayed on the top of the window. Note that the allergen information is based on the background information behind the ingredients used on the recipe: Possible allergens have to be linked to nutritive values and nutritive values linked to ingredients in the program’s Basic Data.

Changing the amounts

You can edit the amount of portions and the portion size, and the program will recalculate the weight information for ingredients.

The Unit of measurement

You can change the Unit of measurement from pounds into ounzes and further into volume with the Unit of measurement button.

Products

You can change the product names into purchase product names with the Products button. Note that the purchase product names will be displayed only if a Stock Card has been linked to the ingredient in the program’s Basic Data – Ingredients function.

Steps

If the recipe has several Steps, you can browse through the recipe step by step by clicking on the Steps button. The Next button on the top of the window takes you to the next step and the Previous button to the previous step. You can utilize the Unit of measurement and the Products functions in this window, as well. You can return from the Steps window by choosing Close on the top of the window.

Images

You can zoom the image bigger by clicking on it. With the arrow buttons you can move on to the next or previous image.

The nutritive values will be displayed by clicking on the arrow button. Note that the nutritive information is based on the background information behind the ingredients used on the recipe: Nutritive values have to be linked to ingredients in the program’s Basic Data.

Closing the View function

Return from the View function by choosing Close on the top of the view.

Any changes made in the View function will not be saved on the recipe.
