Production Requisitions: Order Time Ranges For Production Kitchens

You can set deadlines for orders by defining order time ranges for Production Kitchens in the system. The appropriate time range gives you enough time for preparing and delivering the order on time. The time ranges can be set as open ended or with a fixed duration.

In the Production preview function in the menu the date column for all order rows with exceeded order deadline is displayed with red color. Basic users cannot select these rows and take them as orders into the production sheet. The administrator and the unit administrator are able to select these rows into the production sheet, if necessary, despite the exceeded deadline. In this case, the system will show a warning of the orders with the exceeded deadline and will ask for confirmation before the order can be made.

A notice of possible time ranges is displayed on the top of the Production preview window. The system will give a notification on the time ranges also in the Production Requisitions function, where the time ranges affect in the deletion of production requisitions in a similar manner.

Adding a new time range for a Production Kitchen

  1. Go to BASIC DATA – Kitchens – Production
  2. Select the kitchen to which you want to set a time range, and open the row either by double-clicking on it or by choosing Open on the top of the window.
  3. Go to the Time Ranges tab
  4. Choose Add
  5. Enter a number into the Days field indicating how many days earlier the order needs to be made, and into the Time field enter the time by which the order needs to be made. For example, if the order needs to be made 2 days earlier by 2 pm, you should enter the number 2 into the Days field and then 2 pm into the Time field. If the food needs to be delivered on Friday, the order needs to be made by Wednesday 2 pm. Note! The system will update the time entry into the following format hh:mm AM/PM once you save the time range. If you enter the time without am/pm, the system will save it as AM.
  6. Select the days on which the production kitchen delivers food orders under Delivery Days. Unselected days indicate that the production kitchen does not deliver food orders on that day.
  7. You can set a validity for your time range settings, if needed. If you don't set any validity, the time range will be a general time range. If a validity has been set, it will override any general time range.
  8. Add a message on the time range into the Message from the kitchen field. The message will be displayed to the ordering kitchen in the Production preview window in the Menus function, when the cursor is taken on the recipe row that has exceeded the time range. You can, for example, provide contact information to the person in charge of the orders and mention that the ordering kitchen can contact this person related to orders that have exceeded the time range, if needed.
  9. Save the time range.

Editing or deleting a time range from a kitchen
