Utilizing Post-production Sheet Data In Menu Planning

You can plan menus more precisely, and avoid possible wastage by utilizing sales data that has been registered in the menu. The Fetch Sales functionality automatically calculates the average sales or the latest sales of the menu items for the selected time period. The system calculates the sales data for both the portion sizes and the portion quantities. You can update the sales data quickly and easily to the selected menu rows.

 

Fetching The Sales Data To The Menu Rows

FOOD - Menus

  1. Select the menu rows, to which you want to update new portion sizes or portion quantities based on the sales data.
    • If you are using the Dynamic Menus functionality, select the kitchen on the shared dynamic menu before selecting the menu rows.
    • If the menu includes menu cycles, select the cycle first and then the menu rows.
  2. Choose 'Fetch Sales'
    • The system will provide a list of the menu rows including sales data on the default time period in the menu in question. The new portion size and portion quantity is calculated based on the sales data, and it will be displayed in the New column.
    • As default the time period starts from the 1st day of the year and ends to the current day.
    • You can edit the time period, if needed
    • You can filter the menu rows on the list with the Week, Weekdays, Meal Option, or Menu Row selections.
  3. Select if you want the system to find the Average Sales or Latest Sales
  4. Select if you want the system to find the sales based on the current day or based on all weekdays
  5. Select if you want the system to find the sales from the selected menu or from all menus
  6. Select if you want the system to calculate new values for Portion Size and/or for Portions. 
  7. Note! Once you have made the selections, update the values with the Refresh Values button
  8. Select the rows to which you want to update the values
  9. Choose Update To Menu. The system will update the new values according to your selection into the menu rows. They will be displayed in green color.
