JAMIX Mobile Deployment

 

1. Define The Settings In JAMIX Kitchen Intelligence System

Before you start to use JAMIX mobile application we advice you to check the following settings, and make changes to them, if needed in Basic Data - Settings - Program Settings: Mobile.

User Session - Session Time Out

  • Don't close session after time out: Default setting
  • Close session after inactivity of (minutes): The session will be closed when the application is unused for the amount of minutes in this setting. Note! Unsaved changes will be lost, when the session is closed.

Inventory Take

  • Show current balance for products: Default setting. If this setting is not activated, the user cannot see the current balance for products, and cannot compare the actual quantity to the balance in the system. The setting will not affect to other functions in JAMIX Mobile application.

Inventory Take Mode

  • Add amounts: Registered quantities will be added to quantities saved earlier in the inventory take. If several users are taking inventory with JAMIX Mobile at the same time, each user's quantities will be added separately into the quantities saved earlier.
  • Replace amounts: Registered quantities will replace the quantities saved earlier in the inventory take.
  • User decides: Default setting. The user will choose in JAMIX Mobile Inventory Take function, which of the previous modes to use.

Deliveries

  • Define how many days back the deliveries are shown in JAMIX Mobile

Generic Settings - Price Presentation

  • Select if you want the prices to shown with tax (Including VAT) or without tax (Excluding VAT).

Camera

  • Select if you want to hide camera functionality in the Mobile application

2. Save The JAMIX Mobile Login Address Into The Mobile Device

You can use JAMIX Mobile application in mobile devices, for example Opticon or Zebra scanner, in mobile phones or in tablets. JAMIX Mobile runs in the web browser of the device, so it does not require any installation into the device. You only need the URL address for the application.

We recommend adding a shortcut to JAMIX Mobile in the homepage of the device. You can also add the login address in the browser as a bookmark or favorite.

Creating A Shortcut In The Device's Homepage

Chrome Browser:

1. Open the browser in the mobile device

2. Open the website to which you want to add a shorcut into the homepage of the device.

3. Choose the 3 dots (...) icon on the right top corner.

4. Choose "Add to homepage"

 

With the browser in the device, if the menu does not include 'add to homepage'

4. Choose "Save to bookmarks"

5. Change the selection in "Add to": Add to homepage
