  • You can give a name for the label for differentiation purposes. This name will not be printed on the label.
  • You can define which fields will be displayed on the label through the Select Fields button. Your choices will be saved with the Close button. If you remove a field from the label and add it again later, that field will be shown on the bottom of the Edit Label window.
  • Add a header to the label. You can edit the font size if needed. You can also add a Subheader and write additional information on the item in the Free Text field.
  • Date of preparation’ and ’Use by’ dates will not be defined until printing the label in the ’Print label’ window. The fields are only informative at this point – so that you know that these fields will be displayed on the label.
  • You can add ’Shelf life’ in days for the item. The system will calculate the ’Use by’ date based on ’Date of preparation’ and ’Shelf life’.
  • Add Batch information if needed.
  • If the item is priced by piece, add the price in the Price field. Then add the weight of one piece in the ’Portion weight’ field.

  • You can add the portion amount of the item in the ’Portions in container’ field.
  • The system will automatically print the nutrition facts on the label based on nutritive values linked to ingredients. With some label templates you can select Nutritive Values field to be shown in the edit window. If you add information into this field, the system will use it in the label printout.
    • Salt will be presented with 1 (percentage over 1) or 2 (percentage under 1) decimals depending on salt percentage. (Not applicable in the US)
  • Add storage temperature and other information on the label if needed.
  • Add Producer and Country of origin.
  • The system creates the ingredients list automatically based on the ingredients on the recipe. If an ingredient is compiled of other ingredients, the secondary ingredients will be displayed in brackets after the primary ingredient. Secondary ingredients are managed in the basic data of the primary ingredient, on the Label tab. Optionally secondary ingredients can be added to the nutritive value that has been linked to the primary ingredient. If the secondary ingredients are added both to the nutritive value and the primary ingredient, the ones added to the nutritive value will be printed on the label.
  • You can edit the ingredients list manually. In that case tick the ’Modified manually’ box to communicate that the ingredients list does not match with the original ingredients list created automatically by the system. Notice that any manually made changes will be lost if you click on the ’Update ingredients list’ button. If you tick or untick other options related to the ingredients list, remember to click on the ’update the ingredients list’ button in the end.
  • Allergens are based on the linkage in between ingredients and nutritive values. If you make changes to the ingredients on the recipe, remember to update the allergens list with the 'Update ingredients list' button
  • In the Footer field you can add for instance the company contact information.
