Updating Prices For Ingredients and Recipes

You can change store-specific prices for ingredients and recipes in many different ways. Prices that have been changed will be automatically updated every night to ingredients, recipes and kitchens. If needed, you can run the update manually with just one click. 

Changes Influencing Ingredient and Recipe Prices

  • Price update on the Stock Cards:
    • With the Product Data Update function
    • Through delivery entries (in case it has not been blocked in program settings)
    • Manually
  • Change in Stock Card linkage for some ingredient/ingredients on the recipe
  • Change in the amount of portions, the weight of ingredients, or the trim loss
  • Ingredient added to the recipe or removed from the recipe

In addition, if you make a copy of a recipe, the price for the copied recipe will be shown only after a price update in the Recipes window.

Changed prices, or prices missing from a copied recipe will be shown after the automatic daily update in all Price fields in Ingredients and Recipes functions, as well as through the whole system. You can run the update immediately through the Ingredients or the Recipes function.

Changed prices will be updated immediately for ingredients, recipes, and kitchens throughout the system.

Prices Are Store Specific

Prices for ingredients and recipes are saved in the system store specifically. If you have several stores (kitchens) in the system, for example 3 restaurants, the costs for ingredients and recipes might be different for each restaurant according to which supplier the restaurant uses, and prices accordingly.

You can import your supplier's products including price information as stock cards with the Product Data Update function. Stock cards are linked to ingredients - kitchen specifically, if needed - and the information including prices will be updated throughout the system.
