Production Requisitions: Settings

Before a kitchen or a site can make requisitions for recipes to the production kitchen or the commissary kitchen, the administrator needs to make the following settings:

• Define production kitchens from which the recipes can be requested.
• Create customers (site or kitchens) who make requisitions.
• Add default customer (the user’s own site/kitchen) to which the user makes requisitions, to the basic user IDs of the kitchens – the default customer has to be defined also to the basic user IDs of the production kitchen.
• Add pans, in case you want the requisitions to be made by pans, and set the pans for the recipes in which you want to utilize them.
• Define the production kitchens for the recipes.

• Choose BASIC DATA – Production Kitchens
• Choose Add on the top of the window.
• Select the kitchen from the drop-down menu. The software license defines the kitchens that are available for selection and they are managed by JAMIX.
• Save your selection as the production kitchen by choosing Save.

• Choose BASIC DATA – Customers
• Choose Add on the top of the window.
• Enter a name for the customer and select the kitchen to which the customer will be making requisitions. The system will display in the drop-down menu the kitchens that have been defined as production kitchens in the Production Kitchens function.
• If needed, you can enter other additional information, as well.
• Save the customer information by choosing Save.

Default customer, to which the user makes requisitions (that is the user’s own kitchen), needs to be selected to the basic user IDs. The default customer has to be defined also to the basic user IDs of the production kitchen.

• Choose BASIC DATA – User IDs
• Open a basic user ID and select the kitchen, to which the user makes requisitions, from the drop-down menu in the Default Customer field.
• Save the user ID by choosing Save.

• Choose BASIC DATA – Pans
• Choose Add on the top of the window.
• Enter the name and the volume of the pan and select the Volume Unit. The system will utilize this information when calculating how many pans are needed for production of the amount to be prepared.
• If you want the pan to be the default pan on all recipes, select Default.

The administrator will define the production settings for recipes:

• Production kitchens by customers for recipes to be requested
• Volume/weight conversion for recipe
• Pans that can be selected for a recipe by production kitchen – setting the default pan, if wanted

Open FOOD – Recipes

Choose Settings on the top of the window. You can define the settings one recipe at a time or for several recipes at once.

• If you want to define the settings for a single recipe, select the recipe row.
• If you want to define the settings for several recipes at once, choose Multiple Selection on the top of the window, and then select the recipes from the list by ticking the box in the beginning of the recipe row.

Once you have selected the recipe/recipes, the Production Settings will be displayed on the right side of the window.

• Choose the Production Customer, for which you want to define the Production Kitchen, in the Production Settings tab on the right side of the window.
• Open the row by double-clicking on it. The kitchens, that have been defined as production kitchens in the BASIC DATA – Production Kitchens function, will be available for selection in the drop-down menu.
• Select the production kitchen from the drop-down menu, then click on the Select button.
• You can set the same production kitchen to several customers at once, either by selecting all kitchens at once by ticking the box under the Production Customers headline, or by selecting several customers one at a time by ticking the box in the beginning of the customer row. Once you have selected the customers, double-click on any of the selected rows. Select the production kitchen through the arrow button and then choose Select. The production kitchen selected will be added to all customers that were ticked.

You can save a volume/weight conversion for a recipe or edit it by ticking the Edit box.

NOTE! If you are editing several recipes at once, notice that the same volume/weight conversion will be saved to all recipes.

Select the production kitchen from the drop-down menu.

Then select the pans, which will be available for selection on the Production Sheet when preparing the recipe/recipes in question. You can select all pans at once by ticking the box in the beginning of the headline row, or one by one by ticking the box in front of the name of the pan. You can open a pan row by double-clicking on it and set the pan as a default. Accept the changes by clicking on the Select button.

NOTE! Save all the changes to the Production Settings by choosing Save on the top of the Production Settings window.

Closing The Recipe Settings Function

The Recipe Settings function is closed through the Close button in the upper left corner.
