Program Settings

Defines the currency in the program, as well as how decimals and thousands are separated

Outgoing email server and Port

These need to be defined in order to be able to send purchase orders electronically from the program. JAMIX Technical Support will add this information into the program for cloud customers. If the program is installed in the customer’s own server, the information can be requested from the customer’s own IT department.

OVAPORT token

If you are using the Fredman Pro HACCP System, it is possible to integrate it to JAMIX program and get the HACCP notifications and tasks displayed in JAMIX program. Fredman will deliver the token needed in this field.

Manual url

If the organization is using their own manuals for JAMIX program, you can add the url for the manual in this field. Your own manuals will replace the general manuals in JAMIX program. If the field is left empty, the Manuals function will direct you to the general JAMIX manual.

Video tutorial url

If the organization is using their own video tutorials for JAMIX program, you can add the url for them in this field. Your own videos will replace the general video tutorials in JAMIX program. If the field is left empty, the Manuals function will direct you to the general JAMIX video tutorials.

Logging

If this setting is activated, the program will register an audit log on changes made in selected main functions and basic data in the program.

Company Logo

You can upload a company logo that can be used in recipe printout. See instructions for printing a recipe with the company logo.

Maximum image size is 5 Mb. File formats accepted are jpg and png.

Prices shown exclude VAT

Prices will be shown excluding VAT in the FOOD Module functions where there is only one field for the price.

VAT % (default)

VAT percentage registered in this field will be set as default for new ingredients

Food bank

When this setting is activated you can utilize the Food Bank functionality. With the Food Bank functionality you can manage food that has been prepared in advance in the system. The program will take the amount registered in the food bank into account in the production sheet and calculates automatically how much food needs to prepared in addition to the food that is in stock.

Synchronize sub-recipes

When this setting is activated, the program will automatically update sub-recipes according to any changes made to the original recipe.

Calculate salt from sodium

If the value for salt is missing from a nutritive value, the program will automatically calculate the value for salt by multiplying the value for sodium by 2.5

Dynamic menus

When this setting is activated you can utilize the dynamic menu functionalities which enable kitchen and cycle specific changes in shared menus.

Show recipe/serving ID

From version 4.48.0

In the Translations function, a row-specific ID number is shown when this setting is activated.

Set recipe price to menu when recipe is added to menu

From version 4.45.0

When this setting is activated the recipe price will be automatically added to the menu once you add a recipe to it. The price is taken from the Price and barcode information added for a recipe. 

Note:

• The recipe price will not be updated for the same recipe already existing in the menu.
• The price will not be updated to a recipe after you have added it in the menu. You cannot update recipe prices in the menu by updating the prices in recipes.

Menu: Portion size required when adding an ingredient

From version 4.47.0

When this setting is activated the program opens a separate window when adding an ingredient to the menu. You then have to enter a portion size for the ingredient. The portion size cannot be 0.

Label barcode

With this setting you can define what information the barcode represents on the label. Only one option at a time can be selected from the following alternatives:

• Entered separately (this is selected as default): When this setting is activated, you can add a barcode either directly into the label of a recipe, or into the ’Price and barcode information’ in the Labels tab. The program will primarily use the information in the ’Price and barcode information’ function, but if no information has been added there, the program will use the information registered in the label.
• Cost center: With this setting the barcode will represent the cost center, which can be used in a POS System for allocating a purchase to a certain cost center/person.
• Weight: With this setting the barcode will include the product weight and the product code. The weight can be added either manually or it can be fetched from a scale into the label. Product code is added in ’Price and barcode information’ function in the Labels tab. Barcode including weight can be utilized in POS Systems.
• Price: When this setting is activated the barcode will include product price and product code. Price is added into the label. The product code is added in the ’Price and barcode information’ function in the labels tab. Barcode including price can be utilized in POS Systems.

Barcode type

• 20 00 AAAA HH,HH T: Select this option when your POS reads a barcode beginning with 20
• 28 AAAAA HHH,HH: Select this option when your POS reads a barcode beginning with 28

• Product code + use by + batch: This selection is useful when you want to utilize the barcode in HACCP procedures. You need to add Shelf life information into the label and the program will calculate the Use by date and include it in the barcode. In addition to this, you need to add Batch number into the label and Product code into the Price and barcode information function in the labels tab. The program will create a barcode for HACCP purposes based on this information.

Number of weeks to publish

This setting defines for how many weeks further a menu will be shown in JAMIX MENU service when published. Weeks will always be published as whole weeks from Sunday to Saturday.

Publish menus automatically

The menus will be published automatically once a week on the day defined in the ’Select date for publishing’ field in the Food tab of the Program Settings.

Ignore ingredient name

Ingredient name will not be shown in the ingredients list of JAMIX MENU service for ingredients, recipes or servings if there is information in the label field of the ingredient or the nutritive value linked to the ingredient. If no information has been added into the label field of ingredient or nutritive value, the ingredient name will be shown in the ingredients list despite this setting.

Allergens in ingredient listing

This setting is activated as default. If the setting is deselected, allergens will not be shown after the ingredient name in the ingredients list. Allergens will still be shown as a list under the ingredients list.

This setting can be deselected for example when the label information of the ingredients already includes the allergen information.

Menu languages

At least one language needs to be selected for the menus to be shown in JAMIX MENU Service. You need to select the language tag for the menu language, as well.

Select date for publishing

The program will publish selected menus into JAMIX MENU service automatically once a week starting from the date selected when the ’Publish menus automatically’ setting is activated.
