User IDs

A person using the JAMIX Kitchen Intelligence System needs to have a user ID for the system.

You can add and manage the user IDs in the BASIC DATA - User IDs.

The administrator of the system is responsible for adding and editing the user IDs, and defining appropriate user rights to different modules of the system user specifically.

Adding A New User ID

  1. Go to BASIC DATA - User IDs
  2. Choose Add
  3. For a basic user define the User Level by selecting the Unit and/or the default kitchen. If the basic user has the right for several kitchens, select the kitchens in the Kitchens tab. In this case the user will have to choose the kitchen to work on when logging into the system. For more information see instructions: User IDs: Basic User can have the right to manage information of several kitchens
  4. Add the user's name, email and phone number into the fields. Email and phone number are not obligatory information. However, email is required if the user creates orders in the STOCK Module.
  5. Add the User Name and the Password for logging into the system. The user can change the password in the user profile after logging in.
  6. Select the language. This will effect on the texts in the menu bars, columns and buttons in the system. The language selection does not translate the information included in the system, such as ingredients, recipes or menus.
  7. Add the appropriate user rights for the FOOD Module into the check boxes under the title Recipes And Menus.
  8. Select the appropriate user level, and the user rights for the STOCK Module into the check boxes under the title Stock Functions.

User Rights - Recipes And Menus

  • Administrator: Full rights to all basic data and to all functions in the FOOD Module
  • Unit's administrator: Full rights to all basic data and to all functions in the FOOD Module of the selected unit. This user level is displayed only if the units are in use in the system.
  • Own ingredients: The right to add own ingredients, as well as to view and copy shared ingredients. Ingredients added or copied are available for all users of the same kitchen. The administrator can see the ingredients added by a basic user, but cannot use them in shared recipes, menus, or such.
  • Kitchen-specific price: Right to add kitchen specific prices to ingredients. The system will primarily use kitchen specific prices, if such exist. If there is no kitchen specific price, the system will use the price on the stock card linked to the ingredient. If there is no kitchen specific price nor a stock card link, the system will use the general price on the ingredient.
  • Own recipes: Right to create own recipes, as well as to view and copy shared recipes. Recipes added or copied are available for all users of the same kitchen. The administrator can see the recipes added by a basic user, but cannot use them in shared menus, or such.
  • Recipe calculations: Applicable only when the system is used together with JAMIX KITCHEN MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISE system: The right to edit calculations of shared recipes in the ENTERPRISE system. The setting does not have effect on the user rights related to JAMIX Kitchen Intelligence System, as the basic user has the right to open recipes and edit the calculation without the right to save changes.
  • Own servings: The right to create own kitchen specific servings, as well as to view and copy shared servings. Servings added or copied are available for all users of the same kitchen. The administrator can see the servings added by a basic user, but cannot use them in shared menus, or such.
  • Serving calculations: Applicable only when the system is used together with JAMIX KITCHEN MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISE system: The right to edit calculations of shared servings in the ENTERPRISE system. The setting does not have effect on the user rights related to JAMIX Kitchen Intelligence System, as the basic user has the right to open servings and edit the calculation without the right to save changes.
  • Own menus: The right to create own kitchen specific menus, as well as to view and copy shared menus. Menus added or copied are available for all users of the same kitchen. The administrator can see the menus added by a basic user.
  • Label print only: Applicable only when the system is used together with JAMIX KITCHEN MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISE system: The right to print labels in the ENTERPRISE system. The setting does not have effect on the user rights related to JAMIX Kitchen Intelligence System.
  • Working folder in use: Activates the working folder for the user
  • Working folder also contains all basic data: When this setting is activated, the user creates all basic data in his/her own working folder. The user cannot use shared basic data in his/her working folder, such as ingredients and nutritive values.
  • Working folder as default: When this setting is activated, the user logs in to his/her own working folder as default. The user can change the working folder in the 'Select the working folder' function under the user profile.
  • Users' working folders: The right to all working folders of all users. For example: The teachers can view the working folders of the students.
  • No user rights: No rights for functionalities in the FOOD Module. The module is not displayed for the user.
  • No prices: The prices for ingredients, recipes and servings are not displayed for the user.

User Rights - STOCK Module

User level

  • Administrator: Full rights to all basic data and to all functions in the STOCK Module
  • Unit's administrator: Full rights to all basic data and to all functions in the STOCK Module of the selected unit. This user level is displayed only if the units are in use in the system.
  • Administration: The right to print stock events reports from all stores
  • Stock: The right to certain functions in the STOCK Module. In addition to that, you can add the rights to stock cards, locations, and supplier and producer information.
  • No user rights: No rights for functionalities in the STOCK Module. The module is not displayed for the user.

User Rights - Stock Functions

  • Stock cards: The right to add new stock cards, as well as to edit and copy existing stock cards.
  • Browse stock cards: The right to only view the stock cards
  • Locations: The right to add new locations, as well as to copy existing locations
  • Suppliers: The right to add new supplier information, as well as to copy existing supplier information
  • Producers: The right to add new producer information, as well as to copy existing producer information
