Adding Images Into A Recipe

You can add images into recipes. You can add an image to represent the whole recipe or just a certain step in the recipe. Images related to steps are displayed together with the ingredients and instructions of the step when printing out recipes, as well as in the View function of the recipe.

Adding An Image Into A Recipe

You can add images into recipes through the Images tab in the Recipes function. 

  1. Start adding a new image by choosing Add image. You can add images in jpg, png, bmp or jpeg file formats. The maximum file size for an image is 10Mb (starting from version 4.45.0).
  2. Find and choose the image file you have saved on your computer.
  3. After choosing the image, a window opens up and for preview. You can define the image as a default picture and/or as a step image, in which case you can define a step for the image. At this point you can also choose if you want the picture to be published in the JAMIX MENU service.

    If the Step image option is not chosen the image represents the whole recipe.
    If the Default image option is chosen the image will be the main image of the whole recipe. Only one picture can be set as the main image, thus if the recipe already has a main image, the previous image will no longer be the main image.

The images added are displayed in the Images tab. Images of the whole recipe are on the top, and the step images come next. The main image has a green frame around it. You can open an image into a larger window by clicking on the image.

Editing An Image

You can edit images through the Edit image button. In the Edit Image window you can:

  • Define a header for the image
  • Define the image as the main image and/or as a step image
  • Set the image to be published in the JAMIX MENU service

In the Images tab you can change an image into another step by dragging it on top of another step. You can also rearrange images included in the same step in the same manner by dragging.

Deleting an image

You can delete an image by clicking the Delete image button.
